Christelle François is a bilingual executive, entrepreneur, and strategic leader at the forefront of impact investing and inclusive economic development. As CEO of Equity Economic Development Group, she guides initiatives that integrate blended finance and purpose-driven capital to foster sustainable and equitable growth.
She serves as Board Chair of the Table of Impact Investment Practitioners of Canada and Boann Social Impact, a federal social finance fund wholesaler deploying over $400 million to support mission-driven organizations nationwide. Previously, she was President of the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce, leading initiatives that mobilized millions in support of Black-led enterprises.
Christelle co-founded the Afro-Canadian Cultural Centre of Montréal and is a founding member of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project, promoting purpose-aligned policy and investment across Canada. In 2022, she was recognized among the Top 100 Most Influential Black Canadians. Her work advances access to capital, community empowerment, and a sustainable, inclusive economy.
